Algerian nationals newly arrived in France with a long-stay visa (VLS) must apply for a residence certificate within 2 months of entering France. This application must be made at the Prefecture or Sub-Prefecture of your place of residence.

The applicant must provide proof of the category applied for and proof that he/she has completed the procedures with the French Office of Immigration and Integration (OFII) (medical examination only for applicants for an Algerian residence certificate as an “employee” or “commercial, industrial or artisanal profession”).
